Guarantee Policy
Up to 6 months of cover on the gold plating, against normal wear.
Every piece carries a guarantee of up to 6 months on its gold plating against normal wear — provided the care instructions below are followed.
What Is Covered
We provide a guarantee of up to 6 months from the date of delivery on the gold plating of our jewellery against normal wear.
This covers premature fading, peeling or discolouration of the plating that occurs under ordinary, careful use and in line with the care instructions below.
If we find that a piece has failed within the guarantee period under normal wear, we will repair, re-plate or replace it. Where none of these is possible, our team will agree a suitable resolution with you.
What Is Not Covered
Damage or fading caused by contact with water, perfume, deodorant, sanitiser, cosmetics, cleaning agents or other chemicals.
Damage from wearing the piece while bathing, swimming, sleeping, exercising or doing physical work, and damage caused by impact, pulling, bending or improper storage.
Normal ageing of the finish on pieces worn daily over a long period, scratches from ordinary handling, loss of imitation stones due to impact, and any damage from repair or polishing carried out by anyone other than us.
Items bought from a seller other than 4S Jewellers Private Limited, and pieces where the order cannot be verified.
How to Make a Claim
Contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email within the guarantee period with your order number and clear photographs of the piece showing the issue.
Our team will review the photographs and, if needed, ask you to send the piece to us for inspection. Please return it in its original packaging where possible.
Once we receive and inspect the item, we will confirm whether it is covered and the resolution we can offer. We aim to complete this within 7–10 working days of receiving the piece.
Caring for Your Jewellery
Wear your gold-plated pieces occasionally rather than every day — this keeps the finish looking new for much longer.
Always wipe off sweat and moisture after wearing, and let the piece dry completely before you store it.
Store each piece separately in an air-tight pouch or box, away from humidity.
Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, hairspray and cosmetics, and take it off before bathing, swimming or sleeping.
Guarantee, Returns & Warranty
This guarantee covers the plating over time. It is separate from our returns and exchange windows, which apply to items that are damaged, defective or incorrect on arrival — see our Shipping, Returns & Refunds policy for those.
This is a goodwill guarantee offered by 4S Jewellers Private Limited on imitation (gold-plated) jewellery. It does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Indian law.
